It may be a fluke, but they're running a story about the postcode lottery for GP appointments.
Along with the outrageous waiting times for hospital appointments (not mentioned), it's time the whole NHS system was scrutinised and remodelled.
As another poster said on another thread, it's surprising there aren't riots in the street about the poor service people are getting at the moment.
(Before anyone says it, yes, I know there are other terrible things going on at the moment - I'm not trivialising those, just raising a subject that affects a lot of people one way or another.)
For clarity, I am invested in this - I have an elderly relative who is in very poor health who has been seen face to face once in the last year, despite clear need. One of my DCs has been directly affected by a lack of funding for them being able to have the level of treatment that they need for a life - changing condition and I have three referrals (neurology, pain clinic and gynaecology), for which I've had the 'we have no appointments' letters for.
If anyone knows of a petition, or a standard letter we could all send to our MPs, I'd be grateful to hear of it.
