Has anyone had breakfast Dishoom? How long did it take?

Just that really. I’m arriving into Edinburgh on an overnight flight tomorrow morning and want a proper breakfast before I catch a train at Edinburgh Waverley. I can get to Dishoom about 9:30am but my train is at 10:52am.

Would 50 min or 1 hour be enough time to eat breakfast there? So to leave about 10:20 or 10:25 for my 10:52 train. I’d have my kind of small luggage with me and I’d like to leave enough time to get water and snacks for the train before I board.

Also: what do folks recommend for breakfast? It’s my first time there for breakfast. I think I may get one of their wraps for ease because the regular breakfast plates seem like a ton of food!

Help me avoid another Pret breakfast. Please and thanks!

I don’t know about breakfast but the service is very quick at lunchtime. You should have plenty of time.

I've heard their bacon naan is meant to be amazing! I would say it's long enough as long as you order as soon as you sit (and decide on your choice before you arrive!). Enjoy; I love dishoom!

Oh and we couldn’t finish what we ordered the last time & they gave us a box to take the leftovers, so that’s an option if time gets tight

The bacon naan is exceptional! I think it's pretty quick service there too. Their chai is great also

Dishoom breakfast is great - I’ve had it quite a few times and would be happy with the timings you’ve outlined.

Just to put your own mind at rest, I would choose beforehand and explain (nicely!) when you’re seated that you’d like to order immediately as you’re tight on time - I’m sure they’ll be obliging.

The nans are great (sausage and egg is my preference). The chilli cheese toast is also really nice, as is the spicy scrambled egg with soft buns thing. These are all on the smaller side (but plenty!), compared to the bigger full breakfast plate, which is huge.

Sorry - naans. I’m sure their grandmothers are also great though.

That’s true about their lunch service at that branch. I’d forgotten that I’ve eaten there during the day and not just for dinner.

Okay this is very reassuring. I think I’ll make a reservation to ensure I can slip right in.

Ugh. Everything looks so good on the menu! www.dishoom.com/menu/breakfast

I think I might get the Kejriwal (Two fried eggs on chilli cheese toast) with a side of bacon. Even all their breakfast drinks look good. Stuck between a breakfast lassi and a chocolate chai. Damn it!

Nonetheless, reservations made so that’ll speed things along.
