I’ve made my kids day, and it isn’t even 10am

Got the inspiration to make chocolate cake today.

It’s been a long time since I baked but I used to be good at it.

Today, was a big failure. The outside was hard the inside was soft.

It fell apart as soon as it left it’s mould too.

So I scraped off all the hard bits and put them in a bowl, and put all the soft bits in to another bowl.

The soft bits will become cake pops.

The hard bits, my two dc put sprinkles on and have been happily munching away

I made my kids day too. They wanted to go out for desi breakfast. I didn't want to pay for all 3 kids, so made my own. They were made up and stuffed. (They had seconds.....it's not a MN brag that we can all be full on half an egg and a paratha!!)

I've made my kids day because we are going for breakfast. It got them out of bed too!

I made my ds day by not doing anything with him

He is 14 the thought of having to be around mum outside of home is excruciatingly embarrassing. Especially when I tell him if he continues to be rude I shall rap in front of his friends and might even attempt some break dancing

I have to go to another village today to get a bun net for Dd's ballet exam. a very old fashioned chemist but it happens to be next door to a a very nice cafe'

All my kids are adults now but I often used to make their day by saying. .'We can have an anything goes day today'!
So we then had a day of..
Staying in pyjamas..all day
Eating what they wanted
Watching what they wanted.. Extended Lord of the Rings anyone? All 3!!
Picnic under the sofa cushions and throws made into a tent
And friends round
Usually on a rainy wet day..
Fond memories..
Can't wait for grandchildren!
