We've just had tea. Chicken, asparagus, and sugar snap peas, in a creamy sauce. With pasta and garlic bread. Dd1 cooked 😋😋

Dd2's been in the shower & come down asking me to do a face mask with her.

So, I'll be getting an early shower & then face masking with dd2, before settling down to crochet some more stegosaurus for a friend's ds.

There may be sweets and a Wine involved (wine for me, not dd!).

We're all heading to bed fairly early ish - we're meeting my dad for lunch tomorrow so want to be up & tidied round/washing done fairly early.

What's happening at yours? :)

Just had dinner, steak, chips and sugar snap peas in pepper corn sauce. Getting the kids to bed soon, get the dishes done and plonk myself down with a nighttime herbal tea and my book, maybe watch a film with DH.

Meeting my new niece for the first time tomorrow 😊 x

We had sausage, cauliflower cheese and veggies for tea. Monday is my night at the gym so I’ve left DH to do bedtimes with the kids. But I’m sat in the car park mumsnetting instead as I’m still recovering from COVID (3+ weeks ago!) and I can’t be faffed. Will go in in a minute, do ten minutes on the bike and then have a nice, long sauna. Hopefully by the time I get home all will be quiet and I can have a lovely glass of wine to reward myself :)

DP is working late tonight, so I'm getting baby DD to bed and settling in front of the TV to watch netflix. Will possibly have some ice cream Grin

Fuck all. Been trapped in the house since sat with poor dd who was kindly given d&v by a 'friend'.

Oh I lie. Washing, bleaching and praying to god I don't get it. Huh.

I’m away with my job and currently in my Airbnb, have some more work left to do before I stop at 9pm. Last minute deadline which has to be ready by 8.30am tomorrow.

Some colleagues are going out to eat but I won’t be ready on time, so dinner will be Pringles, tomato salad and fruit. I think there’s also a flapjack in my suitcase somewhere. I have no other food in and I’m too tired to walk to the shops…

I have to wash my hair tonight and will chill in bed for a bit with Netflix before going to sleep. 7am alarm so I can get the compulsory 3 Covid tests at two different testing stations done, before I’m allowed to start work in the morning (yes, you read that right!).

iusedtohavechickens · 11/04/2022 19:12

I think my dog is having puppies tonight! King night ahead! 🤞

drunkenflamingo2 · 11/04/2022 19:16

Just putting DS to bed then I'll have dinner of shepherds pie and will sit down with a pen and the dreaded 40 page long DLA application form that needs completing. After that wine and bed.

over2021 · 11/04/2022 19:17

Had dinner- pasta bake- followed by tinned fruit cocktail and ice cream. Now watching a bit of telly before going to clean the kitchen and sort some washing out. Exciting times Grin

DogsAndGin · 11/04/2022 19:20

What a lovely evening, OP. I’m curled up with the dog, DH is lighting a fire, and I’m quite enjoying my alcohol-free beer! I have just had a huge plate of spag bol but I’m still quite hungry.

Charlavail · 11/04/2022 19:21

Pork chops for dinner. DD is in bed. DS is snoozing in his baby chair. DH has been really prickly today. I am very ready for him to be back at work (extended paternity leave). DS is cluster feeding so that will fill my evening and night.

dragonDan · 11/04/2022 19:24

Dinner chicken thighs with garlic honey and soy and potato wedges.

Dh working in Town and meeting friend after work.

DS1 is out playing basketball.
DS2 is in his room supposedly revising for GCSEs but is probably watching Greys Anatomy.

I am watching the jimmy saville documentary Shock

drinkingwineoutofamug · 11/04/2022 19:58

Had tea, homemade lasagna. Found partners lost phone. Now boiling kettle for hot water bottles. Thermal pjs and bed with a book.
Hate not being able to heat my house.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 11/04/2022 20:22

DP is away with work, DS is fast asleep and im sat eating a rocket lolly watching Chicago Fire and ignoring the massive pile of ironing that needs to be done

bloodywhitecat · 11/04/2022 20:23

The velociraptors have laid a glut of eggs so I made scotch eggs, new potatoes and salad for dinner for me and the little ones, the 11 month old loved it, the 2 year old did OK but it wasn't his favourite.

Babies are both asleep now, the biggest one loves his bed and 'asks' to go up at about 6.30 most night, he rubs his eyes then takes me to the stairgate while waving goodbye at me.

I am writing up their days for their notes (I foster). Then I have bags to pack for tomorrow as one has a hospital appointment and family time with their birth parents. House is clean and tidy.

I also have forms to fill in again to let the bank know that DH is very definitely dead. I have already done it once and they have written to me asking for exactly the same fucking information. As if his death wasn't painful enough.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 11/04/2022 20:44

That is the cutest thing ever, @bloodywhitecat.
I’m so sorry about the bank, though - that’s appalling.

Good luck with the evil DLA form, @drunkenflamingo2. I find I can only do them in bursts, 30 minutes at a time. But the feeling of relief when you finally finish it!

I’m snuggled up under a quilt on the sofa while DP does the supper washing up (we had peanutty vegan udon - totally lush). We’ll probably watch a bit of telly - may give The Split a go, as everyone’s raving about it - and wash it down with Yogi choco tea, which is nicer than it sounds. Then bed. Party on.

Simonjt · 11/04/2022 21:19

My son is finally asleep, he has been a nightmare all day today, hopefully he’ll be in a better mood tomorrow. I think he’s over tired, he didn’t sleep very well last night.

The baby has just gone down, so my husband has gone to bed with her. She needs to be well rested to keep us awake all night.

I’m off for a bath before bed, I’m knackered but achey. I might watch an episode of Boba while I’m in there.

dontgobaconmyheart · 11/04/2022 21:36

Just had a bath and taken some tablets for migraine then I'm back downstairs to tire out a very fluffy 8week old cavapoo puppy that I brought home just this afternoon in hopes of some sort of sleep overnight. Unlikely but we can hope Grin
