Sensations like a baby kicking - what could it be ?

I have been having sensations like a baby kicking for a couple of weeks now.
I am almost 50 , on the mini pill and started HRT a few months ago.

I am almost at the point of buying a pregnancy test to rule it out but wanted to ask if anyone else has had this and what may cause it ?
I don’t get wind issues so doubt it is that .
Sensations are fairly high up and feels exactly like it did when pregnant .

I get this, it's usually muscle twitching and often when I'm dehydrated

I get phantom kicks all the time, it’s really weird. Don’t know what causes it though I’m afraid.

I've read in the past, more them once, than phantom baby kicks can be caused by problems with the ovaries. It might be worth getting the once-over with your doctor to put your mind at rest.

Large ovarian cyst moving for me.

Wind. The shifting around of gas in your intestines can feel just like the early flutterings of pregnancy.

The sensations are too high up to be my intestines I think . Muscle spasm seems more plausible .
Very strange especially as it is a recent thing and now happens daily .

I've been getting these in my lower left abdomen the past couple of months.
Seems to be a few days leading up to my period so assuming it's related to that?

Could actually see my belly moving the other day, very odd.

Also 42 and Peri menopausal.
