Best supermarket that allows you to schedule delivers and save lists

I currently get a grocery delivery from Sainsbury’s weekly, but they only open up delivery slots one week in advance and there’s no functionality on their website to save a shopping basket.

I’m looking to save time by scheduling the same delivery weekly, and I’d love to be able to save baskets or lists of items to speed up the actual ordering process. Do any other U.K. supermarkets offer this? I’m in London. Thanks!

I set up 4 weeks of deliverys with Asda but I do have a midweek saver delivery pass so that may allow me to do more than non delivery pass holder.

Ocado

Tesco

Tesco, I schedule 4 weeks at a time. Never had any issues with Tesco and great customer service too.

I love Ocado, can book a weekly slot which they auto fill based on what you've previously ordered ( you can change it but I find it's usually about 80% right).

MargosKaftan · 11/04/2022 11:06

Ocado do this but are v expensive and oddly dont sell tubes of garlic puree.

hauntedvagina · 11/04/2022 11:10

If you get a Sainsburys delivery pass you get access to two weeks slots at a time. You can also just add the previous weeks shop to you basket.

In my opinion, Ocado have the best shopping app.

Tesco (with delivery saver). Great app. You can copy previous old orders into your basket so I do a slightly different one for alternate weeks.

Morrisons do this too

OMG I was just moaning about that. Why?!! It's such a basic cupboard staple. It's like not stocking chopped tomatoes. They used to sell it but now they only have vile, super sweet, roasted garlic puree for 3 x the price of the bog standard GIA puree they used to stock. So I guess it's more like only stocking chopped tomatoes with basil.

Anyone else remember Ocado Annie who used to pop on threads any time someone moaned about Ocado and promise to sort out the problem?

But yes, Ocado are good apart from that and do what you want, OP. They aren't cheap though.

Morrisons. I do exactly what you want to do, can schedule 3 weeks in advance and they are great. Don't know what their London service is like though.

Just checked and Waitrose have slots available till 7 May. I rarely have problems finding a delivery slot, now we're no longer in the early pandemic/lockdown phase. You can import your trolley from the previous week (although, annoyingly) you then have to go through each item and amend your substitute/don't substitute/notes options). I usually have a couple of trolleys on the go - and always add a new shopping trolley as soon as I get a delivery.

Good service. They turn up on time and if they are going to be a bit early/late they call you. I've set up for them to text me 15 mins ahead of delivery time within the delivery slot. 🌹

@CheshireCat

Garlic puree a staple?

What do you use it for bar garlic bread?
