Stick with me, because really it's DS hearing something and misrelaying it to me. So I'm going with cute and not me being a plonker. DH obviously disagrees as he thinks it was obvious from the start.
DS has been calling my parents courtesy car the "fire car" since they got it a few weeks back. I thought, it's red, there's logic behind what the 2 year old says and didn't correct him.
Then today, mum tells me "the hire car goes back tomorrow" and it struck me, he must have misheard hire as fire, and I guess the red cemented that connection in his head?
So what's your take, is it obvious he meant hire and I'm a fool, or are you with me and it was a cute mistake on ds part?
