Stove top whistling kettles

I’ve decided I want a whistling kettle for my new gas burner either in cream or chrome. I’ve taken a look at the le creuset ones but the reviews are shockingly bad. I liked the kitchen aid ones too but they are out of stock everywhere.

I quite like the aga ones. Does anyone have one? (Pictures would be great)

With gas being cheaper than electric at the moment I can see a lot more doing the switch. Any other recommendations?

must be whistling for full effect and pleasure

Tia

I have a le creuset one, it’s about 5 years old and I’ve no complaints at all. It’s a thing of beauty, I didn’t choose it myself (was a gift) but I’d absolutely recommend it. Model name is Zen.

I think they’re great if you’ve got a solid fuel stove or can stick it on the aga that’s on anyway.

Mine took forever to boil and so now it’s in the shed as an emergency backup and I’m back with a regular electric kettle which despite me turning on 10x day costs me pennies to run. Probably because I only boil what I need and don’t fill it to the brim!

@OwlBasket so no rusting or black residue? I must admit I do really like them but I’ve read reviews and seen pics on Instagram of the rust. I don’t want to spend £££ for it to be ruined :(

We got one from Asda, of all places. Saw it in the app and added it to my weekly shop and was astonished when it actually arrived! There's something so homely about a whistling kettle. I was quite sad to go back to boring electric once we got a new one.

We have the Asda one too. We've had it for a long time. My DP is convinced the boiling water is 'hotter'. ( I knowGrinGrin)
