Removing tarnish from copper pans.

I have some pans I brought from aldi. Love them.

Copper on the outside, silver on the inside.

They have been like that since the first time I used them.

How can I get these marks off that won't take hours of scrubbing which I don't think will work anyway.

Is there a magic trick product anyone else uses?

Make a paste of lemon juice and bicarb and rub it in. Works a treat.

@lostlanguages what measurements are best? Or do you just lash it in and hope for the best

Honestly just rub pink stuff on and rinse off.
Job done 😃

If you don't have any of the other suggestions around you can also try ketchup...sounds weird but I've used it before and it worked pretty well.

loopylindi · 09/04/2022 19:24

I'd second the tomato ketchup route. Rub it on, leave for a few hours depending how deep/bad it is. Rise off well, dry.

Sgtmajormummy · 09/04/2022 19:26

I like it because it’s environmentally friendly (extract of rhubarb) and doesn’t scratch like Vim powder so I can use it on tiles and glass shower enclosures etc.

Ordering the pink stuff now

Table salt and lemon juice

@jesusmaryjosephandtheweedonkey

Pans are sparkling! Not like brand new but fuck me about 95% brand new. Thank you for the recommendation.
