Any dentists in the house? Is this normal (pic)

5 yo DS has just mentioned that his grown up teeth are growing beneath his two wobbly bottom teeth, I've just taken a look and he's right but they look a bit strange... they're two little balls (for want of a better word) rather than flat lines of teeth (like my DDs came through)

Is this normal?!

Yes that's normal, I remember DD's teeth coming through like that. She's 18 now. She did end up needing braces and I think that's a strong possibility as the new teeth are coming through pushed back.

Sorry not a dentist obviously! Just seen it before and dentist never suggested it wasn't normal

LouLou198 · 09/04/2022 16:17

Yes, this happened to my dd! I rang the dentist in a panic, they weren't bothered at all. At one point had 2 rows of teeth at the bottom!! Baby ones eventually came out and new ones moved to their normal position.

Aww yeh, DS had shark teeth. They rearranged themselves in the end.

Another one adding that my twins were the same, both need braces incidentally and are on a three year waiting list!!

Both DS teeth grew like this.
