Magazines girls aged 8-9

Any good recommendations for magazines, for girls aged 8-9 . Just been to look for my dd and they all plastic pink rubbish and about clothes, makeup etc. Daughter likes animals, gardening and cooking, art.

National Geographic for children is brilliant.

The Week Junior has been amazing, explaining all the crap of the last two years in an easy, non scary way. Would def recommend.
