Costco sandwiches

Very early morning all. Has anybody eaten Costco sandwiches recently? Are they good value and tasty? I’m planning my wedding reception and we want to do the food ourselves rather than have it catered. I’d really appreciate it if anyone has sampled them and can give any feedback.

Never had Costco sandwiches but they look OK, quite generous fillings and made fresh in each shop and they also have a good selection of nice fresh or frozen nibbles like falafels and dips, onion bhajis etc.

Morrisons are also nice and excellent value for money, also made fresh in each store, so have a look at those.

Unfortunately there isn’t a local Morrison’s, Barbara. But hank you.

They are tasty and a decent selection. They have a few different buffet platter type things and anything we've tried has been fine.
Not all of them are particularly good value I would, but you are saving yourself the faff of making them so worth the money Grin.

I am a frequent purchaser of Costco sandwiches and other freshly made produce there 🤣 it’s all lovely , I’ve yet to find anything I don’t like.

The vegan sushi platter is very good!

Used them late last year for funeral food. And then for two days afterwards because we ordered way too much. Sandwiches and wraps were all very nice.

@TheDuchessofDukeStreet they were a standard for us for family parties. Very tasty, not necessarily the cheapest but reliable quality. We shop at Costco frequently, I have yet to be disappointed by any of their food. We buy all our meat, chicken and fish from them and have done for over a decade.

Many thanks, all. That’s what I wanted to know. I’m aiming to cater as economically as possible , eg making the cakes ourselves as we are serving afternoon tea, but I want the food to be good. Actually £17.99 per platter of 32 well filled sandwiches does not seem out of the way dear. We certainly will not have time to make them.

They always look fab

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 09/04/2022 08:16

@refreshingseahorse, would you mind if I asked how many platters did you have for how many people? Sorry you had to have a funeral. It sounds as though you fed them well! I’m planning to have those little paper carriers handy so if there is a lot left, folk can take some home.

The pizzas are very good. You could cook and slice and serve cold. Also large boxes of Indian samosas and bhajis are good value.

CurlyPurpleHair · 09/04/2022 09:14

The wraps are also quite good
