I use the same starting word everyday, so one day, this will be me.

Excellent. I got it in two because my first choice had 3 of the letters and there was only really one (or possibly two) words it could be for my second guess.

Same here. I also managed Worldle in 3, and Semantle in 60-odd which is way better than normal so I am feeling pretty good today!

No skill involved in one guess though is there, its just a guess. Getting it on 2 is more skillful.

Oh thank goodness there is someone sensible on here! This is how you do it folks. We've all been playing Wordle for several months now so why are so many people still changing only one letter at a time? You don't get points for how many greens squares you have in the grid.

I think NYT stopped people using slave as a guess which is weird but can't say it hurt me ...

Nope definitely no skill - hence the lottery ticket! If I'm having some pure dumb luck today then I want to make the most of it!

They also stopped people using chink which was a pretty useful word for getting a load of consonants eliminated.

Lots of people are sharing pics of guesses where they changed the second letter. I can't think of any other letters to go in there in my word unless there are 4 other words I've never heard of!

Yes different word then! It says 293 6/6 when I go to share it so not sure how I've got a different one!

I got it in one the other day, but it was my normal starting word.

This thread has made me feel that I can NEVER change my starting word now because of how gutted I would feel if it was the word and I had used a different starter.

In two. I think the NYT needs to contact anyone who gets it in one and list their name in the paper!

That's terrible. I had the same 5 rhyming guesses, finally correct on 6. Argh, so frustrating!

Third go for me. My second guess had only one wrong letter. So close to getting it in two.

I do 2 daily and ive never got them-in the 1st line.
