Lads coming to clean car - how much to pay them?

Two 13 year old lads are coming to clean my (very dirty) car. How much do you think I should pay them? I had expected one lad initially.

I have slipped a disc and cannot do it myself.

I got a valet at a nearby hand car wash inside and out for £10

£10 each would be enough surely. £40 is ridiculously high!

I pay £20 for the professional cleaning company to come and do mine. He does the outside but not the inside.

I would say £10 each and I’d expect them to Hoover inside.

Depends how big your car is as well. I pay the people at Tesco car park £6, so I’d say £5 each is ok - £10 if they do the inside too, but I have a small car. A bit more if your car is big.

I pay my 15 year old £5 for a car clean - he did once try and charge me £10 as he said it was exceptionally dirty but I negotiated it down to £7.50!!
I think £10 between them is fair enough.

You can't be serious I can get a professional valet for less than that. Where on earth do you live @Member278307that a car wash by a couple of teens costs that much?

Maybe £7 each. They are coming to you and good to make it worth their while. But unless you know they're experienced in washing cars, I'd write a checklist of exactly what you want them to do. Give it to them and review it with them as a quality check at the end.
