Just for fun… ‘Wish’ wedding dresses 😄

I’ll start by saying I’m not getting married. Not engaged, nor do I even live with my fella, so this is just for fun! I do however love wedding dresses…I like looking at them and imagining how I could float around in them were I to ever get married again 😄😄 I was browsing on Wish earlier and came across this gorgeous dress… if I was to get married again (and lose about 4 stone!) I’d love to wear this. I wonder what it’s like in reality? For £17 I don’t imagine it’ll be marvellous quality but I’d love to order it just to see!! What’s your dream dress for your imaginary wedding?! (preferably from Wish 😄)

Probably awful. It makes me so cross, I earned loads when I got married and had the Ian Stuart dress I wanted. Loads don’t though and they just want a nice wedding dress too.

I think I’d get one off eBay instead.

Well, that one would be a no-no for me. An industrial-strength bra strap across my bare back would not be a good look; my boobs around my hips sans bra would be an even worse look.

My wedding dress was a vintage Laura Ashley in ivory silk, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

@Antarcticant yeah I’ve got to agree with that point. Mind you, once I’ve lost the 4 stone 😉 I might not need an industrial bra either 😂 I love the back, but could never wear anything like that. I think I’d need to lose 20 years as well as the weight!

@namechangeanonymous amd @NinjaQueen I know, it’s so tempting…but in reality it would look absolutely ridiculous on me, alas…

Sadly, losing weight would make no difference to me - however thin I get, my boobs have gone south and won't be coming back!

I bought mine for £50 off a similar site (pre Wish but Chinese wholesaler). It was amazing! I took a gamble and it ended up being beautiful, cost about another £70 in adjustments but absolutely worth it.

It didn’t look too dissimilar to the picture, the basic structure was good, it had thousands of tiny embroidered beads and SLEEVES which 13 years ago were impossible to find in shops.

@JanetPluchinsky wow that’s amazing! A friend of mine bought bridesmaids dresses from somewhere similar and I have to say they were fabulous, great craftsmanship, beautiful fabric and really well made. I was amazed when they arrived. So I guess good ones are out there.

I got my wedding dress from a Chinese seller on eBay it was beautiful I'm glad I took the risk cause after alterations my dress only cost £110

Ooh I love a wedding dress. I adored mine but it was if it's time, and if I were to be getting married now (but younger me, not me now me!) I would go for something different. I definitely wouldn't risk Wish though!!

I bought my dress for £151 on Milanoo and aside from being too big, it was gorgeous. £15 for alterations.

I'd fancy something like this now, I think. Would need to be an autumn wedding though; I got married in midsummer and I would have melted in this!

I'm already married and in no hurry to do it again (I like to terrify DH with talk of vow renewal 😂😂) BUT given my time over, if I were picking a wedding dress now and I weighed considerably less I would pick something like this..
