NHS MSK Help app…will not open…what am I doing wrong?

I’m a bit of a digital dullard.I’ve just driven a 100 mile round trip to help my 80yo DM with the NHS MSK Help app which had been recommended to her by her GP. I can download it on both her and my iPhones but in both cases it will only open momentarily before returning to the Home Screen. I’ve done on/off…….what else should I try?

What has it been recommended for? I downloaded it briefly on the advice of my GP and it essentially seemed to be some basic info and then some self help exercises with a short quiz to follow to get the best advice. I suspect her GP (or you) could source the same information online or youtube videos.

It does take an awful lot of memory on the device and require up to date iOS 10.0 so that might be a factor, you could try clearing some space or making sure devices are all up to date. If you check out the reviews on the app store it seems several people have the same issue.

It all seems a bit of a cop out really, I would be on to DM's GP to offer an alternative, their advice shouldn't require you to do a 100 mile round trip so she can access advice.

Hi Bacon thank you for your advice. My phone is newish and not clogged with apps, vids and pix. As you say there are a number of reviews on the App Store describing how others have found the App persistently crashes. Fortunately I am seeing my mum again over Easter so we will try Googling for suitable exercises. Thanks again.😀
