Blocked ear and pulsatile tinnitus

Which is driving me mad.

Olive oil not shifted the wax and I can't use sodium bicarbonate atm as I've also got an outer ear infection which I'm treating with an antibiotic spray.

Anyone else had this and have any tips while I'm waiting for the infection to clear up please?

I have had tinnitus for many years and also have lifelong issues with excess ear wax, glue ear and infections. I would have said get your ears microsuctioned but you can’t with an infection.

Perhaps contact the British Tinnitus Association for advice, and they also have an article on pulsatile tinnitus on their website.

When I first got tinnitus I became so anxious and stressed but I learnt to try slow, deep breathing when it was really getting to me. Try and concentrate on your breathing and shut everything else out. Somehow after a few minutes this almost always reduced the noise, or at the very least my perception of it. The more panicked you get the worse it will feel.

Also, background noise such as the radio or music on low can help drown out the tinnitus when it’s really bothering you.
