37 weeks pregnant and down there looks weird

As title. Not sure if it could be some kind of bladder prolapse? Never happened before! Is this a problem for childbirth? Will it make my bladder fall out?
Please some one tell me down there will be back to normal after? Probably had a lesser degree already but not sure.
No issues with sex or weeing, other than the usual preassure from the baby.

Weird how? It can look a bit puffy and swollen down there due to increased blood flow, but do you mean something is poking out? Worth asking at your next midwife appointment!

ifonly4 · 06/04/2022 10:56

I'd give your midwife a call. If there is anything to worry about it's best to get it checked out now and for them to be aware what the situation is now.

It is puffy which is normal, but also feels like theres a bump in there thats not supposed to? Not protuding out, more in the vagina entrance iykwim?

Midwifes are very unresponsive unfortunately, and I dont have an appointment until 40 weeks

I would call 101 for advice if you can't speak to a midwife.

PartyPlan · 06/04/2022 11:29

It could be a prolapse if something is hanging out of your vagina. Your hospital just have a maternity assessment unit? Lots can happen in pregnancy so they will have somewhere you can go to be checked out.

ReadtheFT · 06/04/2022 11:39

It isnt hanging out, but is a bump i can fell inside that wasnt there before

It is at the top/front or back.bottom? Sounds like a prolapse.

cultkid · 06/04/2022 11:47

Its possibly the baby
Ring day care

I had something similar, it felt like I could almost sort of tuck everything back in (sorry if that's TMI) Not anything obvious but not quite normal.

Midwife unconcerned and it went as soon as I had the baby. No lasting issues.

I guess perhaps just the impact of a big baby in my case.

At the top, between clit and vagina(sorry tmi)

It is most definitely not a head!

I had the same, it was/is a bladder prolapse. Mine hasn't gone away, but some womens' do.

Not saying that's what you have of course, not a doctor!!!

kyiv · 06/04/2022 11:51

Sounds like it could be a urethrocele and sounds like possibly due to pressure from the weight of the baby

ReadtheFT · 06/04/2022 11:59

Alright thank you☹️hope it gets better

I must admit im pretty upset. Its fine if it stays as it is, but still have childbirth to go thru so not sure how likely that is. ☹️

It might be a vulvar varicosity (varicose vein). I had one. I wouldn't worry about it - it'll go when you have the baby.
