Is PALS the right place for compliments

I want to compliment my local a and e department, would contacting through PALS be the right place? They were very understanding to my ADHD ASD son and despite being absolutely overwhelmed and clearly short staffed made provision for him to wait in a quiet area when he wasn't coping

Our hospital has a scheme for saying thank you to staff. Maybe Google for your hospital and "thank you"as wellwww.plymouthhospitals.nhs.uk/saying-thank-you

Yes! They will copy it to the department and the Chief Exec, and it will be logged centrally which is good (many compliments go straight to the department).
