So sad about this, she reminded me of my own lovely grandmother.
June was a wonderful actress who has lived a long and full life.
Rest well Dot 🙏🏻

She played such an iconic character and was always very charismatic out of character.

I've just read it on Facebook Rip she was indeed a legend. I hope Eastenders give Dot a good send off .

A true legend.

Rest in peace Dot ❤ she sometimes came into one of the London commuter stations in the 80s and I often served her with cigarettes. She was always very friendly and polite 😀

NeedToKnow101 · 04/04/2022 14:00

An appropriate time to share this. Could have listened to June all day

MedusasBadHairDay · 04/04/2022 14:20

I was never an Eastenders fan, but I loved her in Gormenghast.

NotEnoughTeaYet · 04/04/2022 14:22

What a beauty she was in those very early publicity shots - Dot always dressed with a dash of panache.

Monday55 · 04/04/2022 14:25

Very sad news Flowers

When did she convert back to Dot Cotton, I've always called her Dot Branning. I started watching Eastenders in the early 2000s

She has always been Dot Cotton to me. I watched from 1985 though

ThreeRingCircus · 04/04/2022 14:35

How sad. I still vividly remember the storyline she did helping Ethel to die. Terrifyingly that was over 20 years ago but it was so moving and stayed with me.

Juniper68 · 04/04/2022 14:37

Loved her. I haven't watched enders for years but loved June.

Shortpoet · 04/04/2022 14:40

Hope Dot and Ethel are having a lovely cup of tea together while Ethel fusses about her Little Willie.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 04/04/2022 14:45
