Phantom search history

A search term which I have no memory of searching has appeared in my search history and for some reason can't be deleted. Other search results can be deleted. Has anyone else experienced this with Android?

Nobody else has had access afaik.

Have you misspelt the search word so a page came ip and you closed and spelt search again

Thanks for the idea, could be but I have no memory of searching this term ever, and I delete my search history every day so it's unlikely to have survived from weeks ago.

What browser are you using? Could you be signed into it elsewhere? If I search for something on Chrome on my laptop it would appear in my phone's search history.

It's weird that it can't be deleted though. Can you tell us what the term is?

I don't want to be specific but it relates to weights and measures. The phrase itself isn't worded how I would write it, which makes me think it wasn't me.

My phone brings up trending searches.

They can't be deleted but my own searches can.

I'll add that the trending searches have a squiggly lightening shape arrow next to them but my searches have a straight arrow.

If you have signed into your google account on another device and then someone has used that device to google something using the chrome browser whilst you are still signed in then it can show you what those searches are on another device.

I was getting really confused as to why I could see on my phone random stuff DP must have bee searching. When I signed out of my google account on the laptop he usually uses it stopped again.

@pastabest I'll look into it - but our laptop hasn't been used much lately.

The search result is still around. 😐🤔
