How much eye contact is normal when talking to people? Im quite shy/socially anxious and just realised that I rarely look in peoples eyes when im speaking to them even if I know them well (family etc). I make an effort to when in a job interview or doing a presentation. I feel like a lot of the time Im walking and talking or driving/cooking etc so maybe that’s why, and no one has ever mentioned my lack of eye contact. But I’ve just thought, is it normal to look into someone’s eyes the whole time you’re talking to them, or just look into them for a second then look away at regular intervals or do you not really make eye contact much?
