I have a mid sized garden which is completely decked over, over two levels, and was when I bought the house. I do like the decking, but I’d also like a more ‘garden’ feel to it.
Last year I bought lots of pots and plants and have them lined around the garden, but it’s still not quite right. I’d like more foliage around it. I did consider buying trees that could be kept in pots, then wondered if I could remove some of the decking at the edges to replace it with a border to plant trees, but now I’m wondering about planting a vertical garden on the fences.
Has anyone had any success with a vertical garden and could give me an idea of what plants to use? Or has anyone succeeded in making a decked garden more flowery?
