If you had deformed toes, would you be too embarrassed to get a pedicure?

I've never had a pedicure. My littlest toes sit on top of my fourth toe on both feet and I've never been happy with how they look.

I'm off on holiday and would really like to treat myself to a pedicure, but I don't know whether it's a good idea.

I'm in good company - Jennifer Garner has a toe like mine.

No need to be embarressed and the person doing the pedicure will have seen all sorts of different types of feet and toes. Go and enjoy your pedicure.

I had a deformed toe (bunion) which I've now had straightened but it never stopped me getting a pedicure. Go for it!

its like when i go to the doctor they seen it all.Just make sure your clean and pleasant to be around.I am sure there are people who dont clean their feet or are inconsiderate .But if your friendly and considerate your probably the best customer ever .Meaning what is there to be embarrassed about

TheFallenMadonna · 04/04/2022 07:58

My little toes are at 90 degrees to the others. I do have pedicures and I've stopped apologising for the toes, too.

LizzieSiddal · 04/04/2022 08:01

No not at all! Go ahead and do it!

Bagelsandbrie · 04/04/2022 08:19

I would think it would probably be interesting for them…! Makes a change! My mum had completely webbed toes, she used to make a joke of it saying they were all married to each other. She used to get a lot of pedicures and everyone was always nice about them.

Mabelface · 04/04/2022 08:27

The only reason I don't have them is 3 of my toes sit just under the next one at a 90 degree angle, so the polish wouldn't be seen. I wouldn't feel embarrassed by them, they're just feet!

CormoranStrike · 04/04/2022 08:58

I have a similar feature (different toe) and have never even considered it an issue to be concerned by or embarrassed by.
Honestly, go have your pedicure and don’t give it a thought.

MumbleCrumbs · 04/04/2022 09:01

I have much, much worse toes than that due to amniotic band syndrome in the womb. I promise you the nail tech won't even notice and you'll feel great afterwards Smile.

ClaudiaWankleman · 04/04/2022 09:13

I wouldn't be embarrassed.

I recently started the process of 'correcting' my feet after decades of abuse in inappropriate shoes and it has really made me feel better about them though. I can now see air between all of my toes, which is as it should be. You could look into that if it bothers you?

darlingdodo · 04/04/2022 09:14

The pedicurist will have seen all sorts. As long as your feet are clean they won't even think about it.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/04/2022 16:38

Thanks. Its surgery and 8 weeks on crutches per foot to correct it as my cousin found out when she had hers done. They dont bother me enough for that but I've always hidden them away after being embarrassed about them as a child.

I shall embrace the pedicure!
