Greeny/black poo after c-section?

TMI but I’m 5 days PP and have taken a dose of lactoluse today which has worked, ive just had Awful diarrhoea however it was like greeny black?!

Is this normal after surgery and being a bit constipated? I’ve got anxiety and now I just feel sick that somethings wrong.

Have you had antibiotics recently?

Completely normal the same thing happened to me after section in December.

Are you on iron tablets? They gave me some in recovery because I lost blood. That changes your poo colour to black/green.

I’m not taking iron or have been given it as far as I’m aware.

They did give me antibiotics during the c-section. Maybe that?

You could phone the ward now and ask them. They told me I was under their care for 14 days post birth, and issues, come straight back. I'm sure they will be able to put your mind at ease, and readmit you with baby if they were concerned. No question is too silly, you have a newborn and you've just had major surgery. They won't be annoyed at you for asking xx
