I really liked it, its a very beautiful film. Saw at cinema.

Nitgel · 02/04/2022 23:29

Def a film to watch on the big screen, you sort of get lost in it. It ain't the crown so don't watch if you are expecting a true life story.

Blossomtoes · 02/04/2022 23:33

It’s a load of bollocks. I gave up after 20 minutes.

weatherheather · 03/04/2022 00:25

I thought I'd inadvertently been on drugs when I watched it.

I did, still thought it was shite!
Charlieiscool · 03/04/2022 02:24

Her breathy voice delivering lines at speed drove me nuts. I found her irritating, ridiculous and self-pitying and we couldn’t stand it for more than half an hour.

FixItUpChappie · 03/04/2022 03:03

I thought Kristen Stewart was good but didn't like the film. Diana here is portrayed as a mentally unstable simpering victim. No dimensions afforded to anyone else passing by. I thought it was boring and over-the-top personally.

Feministwoman · 03/04/2022 03:42

@DomingoinLittleOakley

It's absolutely one of the worst things I have ever watched (and I've seen Mr & Mrs Smith.)

I don't actually know what the point of it was - it was mad, but with nice scenery.

Do yourself a favour and give it a swerve.

I really liked Mr and Mrs Smith (misses point of thread)
Happylittlethoughts · 03/04/2022 03:59

Lasted about 15 - 20 mins. Absolutely dreadful. She was shovelling soup, in a grotesque manner, into her mouth at a Christmas dinner. It was unclear if it was meant to be true or in her anxious mind. That was enough for me!

Supersee · 03/04/2022 04:52

Only film I've considered walking out of a cinema. It was so bad it was making me angry.

Beatrix90 · 03/04/2022 07:56

It is the one of the worst films I’ve seen and my partner who will sit through anything actually turned it off. She whispers and twitches dramatically throughout the entire first hour (we didn’t get further than that) and there doesn’t really seem to be any meaningful interactions with anyone in that period making it incredibly slow and boring. Also they portray her as a maniac. I understand they were trying to convey her depression and feeling trapped by the royal family but after an hour of watching constant riddled dialogue about feeling trapped and depressed, I myself felt trapped and depressed by the whole film. Anyway I found freedom and turned it off lol.

Mondaymanic · 03/04/2022 08:11

So boring. I stopped watching half way through

Lottapianos · 03/04/2022 08:16

I liked it. It's very strange, and clearly not for everyone, but KS was brilliant, and I thought the soundtrack was fab, really added to the claustrophobic feeling

onlyconnect · 03/04/2022 08:20

I liked it. It's very unusual- I'd say original- and I see why people wouldn't like it. It tries to get inside Diana's head and present the experience from her perspective so it's not realistic and certainly can't be read as a factual account.

Leggingslife · 03/04/2022 08:22

Watched the first hour then turned it off. Utter rubbish.

onlyconnect · 03/04/2022 08:28

Lottapianos agree, the music was great. It really conveyed how she was feeling

ASDorNO · 03/04/2022 08:32

I hadn't planned to watch it but now definitely will because I can't believe a film can be that bad and feel like I need to see it with my own eyes Grin

CormoranStrike · 03/04/2022 08:37

Totally shit, in my opinion, though I liked the last few minutes of normality at the end.

FinnRussell · 03/04/2022 08:38

It is absolute shite

CurlyPurpleHair · 03/04/2022 08:40

Love Diana but can't stand Kristen Stewart so
will not be watching.

AchillesLastStand · 03/04/2022 08:42

It was awful. I love The Crown, but this was trying too hard to be artsy and pretentious, and what was with the ridiculous music? I got about an hour into it and turned it off.

LightandFruity · 03/04/2022 08:57

Absolute load of shite. Music was weird and I agree about the continuity errors. I gave up after about 45 mins.

sashagabadon · 03/04/2022 08:58

I liked it Grin

Kudupoo · 04/04/2022 16:22

I've just watched at home and thought it was great!!!

movingsoon13 · 04/04/2022 16:38

I was disappointed as I am a huge KS fan. She was fantastic in Charlie's angels, but the way it was filmed was so awkward and the script was disjointed and boring. I think the actors really tried but the script had no order or reason to it to be coherent and entertaining.
