How do you feel about Saturday nights in?

I'm having one of those weekends where I just feel a bit flat and 'meh'
Some Saturdays I really enjoy staying in with a glass of wine, magazine and takeaway etc.
Tonight I'm doing that and realised how lonely I am.
What do you do to zap yourself out of these moods? Do you also have these nights where you feel like putting on a sad film and want to feel sorry for yourself?

I love any night in. Not sure if that's a bit sad or not! Hugs to those of you feeling lonely. Flowers

DH and I had tickets for a gig tonight but we're going on holiday tomorrow and I'm on my period and exhausted so I waved him off with his friends and I'm in bed with a Good Night tea and soon to be lights out. Thank God.

When you have young kids almost every Saturday night is in! I love it, even though my kids are older now. I did got out last night but that was unusual. I'm a widow so it's just me and I do most of my socialising during the day.

I have to say...the idea of getting dressed up, being cold, spending unnecessary money and feeling crap for next morning is really unappealing to me.

DS works on a Saturday night so DH and I have to take it in turns to be taxi, also means we can’t go out as a couple. We didn’t plan that very well when we encouraged him to have a part-time job! Lucky we are not very sociable

@BuddhaAtSea

Just had a long hot bath (music on, candles, bath salts etc), fresh bedding, fresh pyjamas, I’m scrolling a bit and then I’ll read my book club book. I bloody love it, it’s my idea of recharging my batteries. I’m going to theatre next Saturday.
Ooh what are you reading ?

Saturday night in is so good, if I don't have work on Sunday

I hate going out Saturday night. Shoehorned into some bar, fighting to get served, overpaying on a g&t then worrying about whether a taxi home will be hours.

I'd rather meet a friend at 2pm, few glasses of wine in a beer garden and a safer walk home at 6pm/easy to get a cab then.

I love staying in on a Saturday day night.

DH is in a band and often does gigs on Saturday nights so this is me quite a lot. It does make me feel a bit lonely but DD is 9 so she will watch tv with me and then I'll read a book when she's gone to bed. It's when it's a lot of Saturday nights in a row it gets to me but sometimes I don't mind it.

@CaMePlaitPas

What kind of sad film? Schlinder's List?

I love staying in, better than being bothered by some streak of piss following you around a club asking for your number because "you're the best looking bird I've ever seen" Hmm

Love this Grin

@bloodywhitecat

Lonely and sad, the past keeps replaying in my head. I hate Saturday nights with a passion.
I'm very sorry , I hope things will feel better for you soon
