Most of the people Stock Aitken and Waterman promoted were just cashing in on their acting careers and produced average at best singing.

Rick Astley was the one that had the real talent, probably not shown enough by the choice of songs, and the appreciation he now gets perhaps shows this.

Rick Astley is so underrated, or was at the time. I hope he will now be appreciated for the talented writer and performer he undoubtedly is.

[/quote] It's great isn't it? IIRC they said that that 'Never Gonna Give You up' was not that dissimilar to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' musically. And RA being all sweary. And obviously there's Taylor Hawkins drumming away.
