Are rendered walls tough enough to withstand balls being kicked against them?

There is only one wall of our house that is suitable for a ball to be kicked against it, and our 15yo uses it regularly, which is fine by us. Currently it is a brick wall. We're getting some work done and, as part of that, we are considering rendering this wall to match another part of the house. But would it inevitably suffer ball damage if DS continued to use it as he does now?

Anyone?

It's likely to get damaged. There's a rendered wall at my tennis club that kids used to hit balls against and it got damaged and had to be re rendered.
