Where the fuck have I left my wallet?

I’m due to go on holiday tomorrow and I can’t find it anywhere. I use my phone for contactless so rarely need my actual wallet, but I’d like to at least have a back up credit card in Spain.

Oh wise mumsnetters, where the fuck have I left it?

(On the upside, my local nail place have started taking applepay so even if I can’t spend any money in Spain, I’ll still have beautiful toes!)

• Check all your bags
• Check coat pockets
• Look in/near any likely 'putting down' places

If this doesn't work, go room-to-room in your house and check in any possible place.

Also, if you can work out when you last used it - e.g. by looking at your calendar - that might ring a bell and help you find it.

If you have access to an android phone apparently there are apps that scan for rfid chips.

I only found out about them because I have lost my purse too though I have an iPhone so can’t verify.

In the car?

Look under the seats in the car.

It was in my running backpack. My running backpack! Why - the fuck - had I taken a wallet for a run? Anyway, I’m now in Spain, with wallet and euros and feeling decidedly more relaxed!
