The email states the flex tarrif might be more expensive but on the comparison it says it's the cheapest at £380 per month. Oh fuck.
Anyone else going with this tarrif? I feel so confused 😢

What are the prices per kWh for gas and electricity for the fix in comparison to the flexible rate? I doubt that the fix is cheaper than the flexible rate

dementedpixie · 01/04/2022 19:50

And I think you mean thats the fixed rate estimated price you're looking at

Toddlerbeast · 01/04/2022 19:58

It says the Flex tariff is the cheapest when I log in.

I've put a screen shot of both options.

Next flex and next online v13.

There's a big difference but on my email it says the flex might be more expensive?! 😩

I have both gas and electric with eon hence there's 2 charges per tariff.

I thought the advice from money saving expert etc was not to fix?

dementedpixie · 01/04/2022 20:04

I'd personally stick with the flex rate but its up to you

It was. It was bollocks. We ignored it and fixed at the end of last year. Thank God we did.
dementedpixie · 01/04/2022 20:11

I was already on a fix at the end of last year. Now we're on the standard variable rate

OP the rates for the fix are 45.5% and 41.8% higher than the flex rate

Toddlerbeast · 01/04/2022 20:42

So do I go with the flex then? The charges look the best but I'm so fed up and confused .

I personally would and then I'd treat it as a short term fix until the price cap goes up in October. Ultimately its up to you though

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 01/04/2022 20:45

Also confused - got moved across to eon next from eon and dumped on a flex tariff and not sure if I need to do anything. Guessing it’s the same situation as yours. Their flex tariff says it’s guaranteed till Nov 25th but I don’t understand as it’s a variable rate. The whole thing is bewildering

dementedpixie · 01/04/2022 20:48

What are the rates on the Eon next tariff you're on?

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 01/04/2022 20:53

But that was last year. This is now.
