If you wear glasses all day every day, how often do you get a new pair?

As above. My current pair are at least 2 years old and need replacing and I'm wondering if I treat my glasses terribly but they're either on my face or by my bed.

I've had my current ones 7 years. They're scratched and loose and the prescription is completely out of date. Can't afford new ones, or new lenses.
