We are going this weekend, just two adults, any suggestions on places to go for a walk, places to eat? We won’t have a car so will be staying fairly local.

Thank you! Smile

And check out the charity shops. I got a fabulous original art nouveau lamp for 25 quid

Lucy's tea room is lovely - really welcoming and good food.

I remember doing a Google search of good restaurants and also did a tea shop though can't remember which one. It's gorgeous. Stayed in a hotel that had acres of land so walks and lots of clean country air! Enjoy

Loads of pretty Cotswold villages nearby. Choose any one of them and you won't be disappointed.
The trout farm at Bibury is worth a visit.

We had a very good meal recently at The Porch House.

You can walk to Daylesford and back again - a days activity, but a nice walk (with a pub halfway at Oddington - and Daylesford is fun if you haven’t been).

I love Stow, it's so pretty. I second tea shops and antique shops.

Another vote for Lucy's tea room

Not been for years, but there's nice short-ish walk from Stow to Broadwell, and the Fox pub at Broadwell used to be good.

Personally I think Huffkins is overrated, I've tried the one in Stow and Cheltenham and would prefer to go to a tea room (which you'll easily find in Stow).

One tip, it always feels a couple of degrees colder there, so dress up warm.

We eat at The Sheep, and the Queens Head also does great pub food. The Bell is lovely too.

Have a great time!

The Porch House is the oldest inn in england! Check out the fireplace!

Everything there is so lovely! It is small though but you can walk to other villages.

Another recommendation for the Porch House - lovely pub/hotel! We had NYE there on our honeymoon, food is great. There's also a nice pub at the top of the village, I think it's called the Queen Head, very old man, local ales, small country pub vibe. Also had a nice meal at The Stag. Hope you have a lovely break!

Also love Lucy's tea shop.

There is a lovely independent book store hidden away somewhere in the middle. Can't remember its name but anyone there could tell you.
