Maddy is not very nice is she?

Very late to the party, but I’ve been watching Jonathan Creek lately. I think Maddy is horrible! Shouty, stroppy, manipulative, snarky etc. Does anyone else find her an unpleasant character?

She is very rude. I always thought it was a really odd pairing. Mind you, Julia sawalha in later series isn't much nicer.

I loved her. It was never the same once she left. I haven't rewatched in many years though.
