I've only just discovered this bonkers aspect of legislation and it explains why counselling and psychotherapy services for adoptees are so difficult to access.
Any adult who is having therapy or counselling in the U.K. via a non Ofsted registered counsellor / therapist has to have their treatment terminated immediately if they disclose that they are adopted. This is the ONLY characteristic of any sort that is subject to legislation like this:
