Foods that keep you awake

Talking to a friend and we realised we both end up with a sleepless night if we have a rich gravy?

I thought I was the only one - but it seems I'm not.

Gluten free bisto is ok - oddly.

(also chocolate, coffee, tea and too much sugar but I think that's fairly normal).

Oh yes gravy is awful stuff for me too.

Diet Coke. / Pepsi max. Was awake til 2am cos I had one yesterday afternoon 🙄

Yeah, caffeine (even just a normal tea) and chocolate after about 4pm (used to be 6pm!) Keeps me up longer and can effect my getting back to sleep if I wake in the night.
It sucks... But haven't noticed it with any other foods.
Although even decaff tea can have this effect sometimes I guess they can't take all the caffeine out

No food or drink does that to me, thankfully! Wonder why gravy does it

This is quite specific but if I combine lamb and red wine, even a small glass or in a sauce then I’m awake all night.

Garlic also stops me from sleeping well.

The red wine thing I get too, just a small glass combined with some foods does it. With me its red wine and cheese.

I always wake up thirsty after Indian food I think because it uses more salt than I generally use. Although I drink way too much caffeine and my sleep is generally quite awful!🤣
