HELP - Is it Egg-citing or Eggciting - a funny play on Easter!

Want a make an Easter twist on a word exciting...woudl it be

1. Egg-citing News

or

1. Eggciting News

Neither is “correct”, it’s a made up word, so spell it however you like

I reckon the first is more common, if that helps!

I’d put the hyphen on a pun that wasn’t obvious if I wanted to draw peoples attention to it and/or make it clear it wasn’t a spelling mistake

This one’s a relatively common play on words so I’d agree with PP, you could do either. I’d probably be governed by the amount of space I had to play with (my job involves writing a monthly newsletter and laying up is a PITA!)

The first one is clearer.
