Thermomix Alternatives...

I've recently inherited a small amount of money, and wanted to treat myself to something like a Thermomix (all singing all dancing cooking robot thing). I've looked into it but it seems like they make it hard to actually buy one you either have to 'sign up' by which they want you to attend a cooking demonstration or come to your house, or go to the shop (nearest is in Reading and I'm in Bradford!). So I've pretty much given up as they seem to be making it really difficult to get your hands on one, and I don't want to be caught in some MLM Hun scheme.

Is there any alternatives or anything you'd recommend?

kenwood has one (cooking chef)

Magimix Cook Expert

I'll check out the Kenwood one, thank you. I've heard of the Magimix, but seen reviews which say it's a bit awkward to use. I am rather sold on the large volume size though!

I'm quite tempted by the screen and step by step cooking aspect.

The Magimix seems to be selling it to me so far.

Has anyone got anything like this and can recommend?

Hi, I have the magimix one and researched loads before I took the plunge. There is a good group of cook expert Facebook users who are really helpful. www.facebook.com/groups/371387803434616. Took a bit of getting used to but I wouldn't be without it now!

I have recently bought a Thermomix. I got it off the website with no issues at all. I just selected that I didn't want a consultant and it arrived within a couple of days (I'm in UK). It's a great machine!

And no one has contacted me or bothered me
