Acupuncture for a crick in the neck?

Help!! I have had a crick in my neck for about 2 months. I'm not sure what I've done but I can't turn properly to the right and it is STILL painful even after physio. Would acupuncture help do you think?

Hopeful bump! Am I destined to never be able to turn my head again..?

Go to a chiropractor or a decent sports physio.

Chiropractor sorted 90% of my neck problem out in one session.

I have a chronic neck problem (post disc surgery) and have found acupuncture (proper acupuncture not dry needling) very helpful. Personally I wouldn't let a chiropractor near my neck, have a read of this, particularly the discussion section: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6016850/#:~:text=The%20high%20velocity%20thrust%20used,even%20death%20is%20drastically%20increased.

I also saw a traditional osteopath - none of the thrusting, crunching or clicking that's so dangerous for necks - he just did tiny stretches of the tissue with his fingers, but only after he'd seen my MRIs. He teaches anatomy to medical students and also lectures. To be honest, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my neck. The physio I went to was very good until she did some manipulation, and caused a numb patch on the side of one finger which is sadly permanent.

Have you been to the GP to see whether you need scanning?

Thanks. I've been to a sports physio and it did get better for a while but it keeps on coming back. I'm a bit scared of chiropractors! I hadn't thought about asking for a scan but I suppose I could.
