If so, carry on! It's beneficial for our birds, especially at this time of year, as they take the fur away to line their nests in preparation for their youngsters' arrival.

If it's any reassurance, I haven't been Frontlined.

I have American Akita's and when they blow heir coats the hair is unreal. Definitely need to brush them outside! I'm glad to hear the mountains of fluff get put to good use by the birds. I don't use spot-on.

My cat grooms herself and then, in moulting season, barfs. Don't think the birds would fancy the results!! But it is a lovely idea, OP, and I'm glad to read of some pets who are donating nest lining material.

Oh no, clipped my very fluffy cat earlier who had some matted bits (she won’t let us brush her). We clip her Inside as she doesn’t like it and she is less vulnerable inside (plus we need a plug socket for the clippers). Had I seen this first I’d have put it in the garden but it’s now in the wheelie bin out for collection unfortunately.
