Treat ideas for 7 yr old girl

I have a rare day on Sunday with just my daughter as my DH is taking the brothers out for the day with some friends. I wanted to do something special with her and make The most of the time on our own, but my mind has gone blank.

I used to try and take the boys individually to the cinema, and for hot choc & cake , but she doesn't like either cinema and she's not keen on coffee shops !

She gets really bored shopping

Any ideas ?

Museum, art gallery, zoo, aquarium, swimming, one of those places you can walk with alpaca

My daughter would’ve just loved a day at home together at that age! Get face packs and do each other’s nails etc. get some craft activities in and just enjoy being together without anyone else around!

My dds would have enjoyed a pot painting cafe.

Go to a climbing wall, or swimming.

AndAnotherBill · 29/03/2022 10:43

Ask her! Probably she just wants to spend time with you alone. Mine would want to get the craft box out and paint and make something together. Cook or bake something together and sit on me on the sofa watching a film together.

Got an ice rink nearby?

springsmiles · 29/03/2022 10:45

Thanks for the ideas. Should of said I won't have the car so need to do things on a bus route.

But lots of great suggestions

Trampoline park.
Zip line.
Picnic on a row boat on a lake.
Escape room.
Maze.
Find a bunch of cheap science experiments for kids online - eg coke & mentos, bicarb & vinegar volcano.
Make a bunch of funfair games - blat the rat etc.
Turn the house/garden into a mission impossible-style assault course, time each other (carrying a glass of water, go over and under strings suspended like laser beams, barefoot across the sea of pegs...etc)
Write each other silly notes in a code if your invention.

Or would she be up for a film on the sofa and painting nails?

My daughter at that age always loved a boat trip on the Thames.

If you’re not near London is there any other river that does boat trips you can get to?

Yes she does and we did this Mother's Day as she and the boys enjoy it !

Boat trip on Thames - as she doesn't like shopping you could visit Hampton Court (not sure if Thames Clipper does that) or Canary Wharf to the Museum of London.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 29/03/2022 10:54

Where are you geographically?

springsmiles · 29/03/2022 11:13

South west

Readyforspring · 29/03/2022 11:22
