Woman thrown off Jet2 plane after screaming at other passengers due to noise from babies and slapping others and attempting to open the door. Flight had to be diverted to Vienna.

Lifetime ban. £5000 fine. Maybe she will use the money for veneers to be done in Turkey to pay her fine!

Batshit.

On a side note 20 zirconium veneers for £3000. Is that cheap?

PS She wasn't literally thrown off. Although, I imagine some passengers might have wanted her to be.

Why would you want cheap and dangerous dentistry?

I don't. I wondered if that was cheap since I have heard 'celebrities' spend tens of thousands on them. I have no idea how much someone spends on false teeth Hmm

It’s cheap compared to what it would cost in U.K. Don’t know what it would normally cost in Turkey.

NannyGythaOgg · 28/03/2022 22:43

It is very cheap compared to the UK and is, generally, of excellent quality. I can't afford to have my teeth done, even at those prices but I would definitely have them done in Turkey if I could afford it,

Thanks.

I have no idea what is cheap or expensive but understand that Turkey is a venue for lower priced cosmetic treatments.

The woman's behaviour means she has lost her new teeth, perhaps natural consequences of her behaviour on the plane. Also an expensive fine and flight ban.

I knew someone who had his teeth done in Turkey after all front teeth were knocked out in an accident. He was very pleased with them.

He had to go back for a day's aftercare, but took his wife and made a holiday of it. Not sure why a PP would presume Turkish dentistry is "dangerous" Hmm

Anyway, the woman on the plane got all she deserved!

EatSleepRantRepeat · 29/03/2022 14:32

I'm not judging because I don't know what caused her to behave like this. I'm autistic and find the noise of babies screaming really distressing, and if it gets too much I can lose it. I've avoided planes for years for this reason and I'm so glad i have no pressing reason to use one. Even in first/business you can't get away from people's kids these days.

I feel sorry for anyone who has been hurt or injured, obviously, but it may be more complex than it appears.

2Gen · 29/03/2022 14:33

She sounded mouldy drunk but that's no excuse. I'm glad she was kicked off, fined and banned, the babies on the flight must have been crying even more because of her disgusting carry-on, she'll have frightened the life out of them. Stupid, horrible behaviour!

Really? Turkey teeth look more false than dentures imo.

Surely you would use ear defenders then? Or as you do, just not fly.

I hate the sound of babies screaming but my sympathy is for the poor parent trying to deal with it.

WhatNoRaisins · 29/03/2022 14:42

Had she been drinking?

SirChenjins · 29/03/2022 14:43

She was beyond rude and aggressive - and sounded like she’d necked too many tablets or drinks. The poor cabin crew that had to deal with that and the poor passengers that had to listen/watch that. A fine and a lifetime ban were appropriate.

Rosehugger · 29/03/2022 14:45

I was having visions of her being thrown out the exit door in mid air from the thread title.

AuntieMarys · 29/03/2022 14:46

She was pissed before she got on the plane . They shouldn't have let her on

TabithaTittlemouse · 29/03/2022 14:48

Good. She deserved it, you can’t go around being abusive towards others.
How embarrassing for her family.

pupcakes · 29/03/2022 14:52

How embarrassing for her! I'd have given her more than a 5k fine, I have a massive fear of flying and she would have made me so distressed if I'd been on that plane.

Dinoteeth · 29/03/2022 14:59

@EatSleepRantRepeat
Useless information you might be interested in, humans find certain noise pitches distressing, can't settle until its turned off, a baby's cry is at that exact pitch!

Tabitha005 · 29/03/2022 15:05

'Aggressive Yokshire woman', ha ha - that made me think of that thread on here the other day about people from Yorkshire always being compelled to tell you they're from Yorkshire.

I mean, I think many of us have been driven batshit by screaming kids on planes, but I'm not sure we've tried to open the plane door mid-flight.... to do, what, exactly? Jump out and get away from the screaming?

Three grand seems suspiciously cheap for veneers to me. My dentist would probably charge me that just to park outside for the duration of the procedure.

LowlandLucky · 29/03/2022 15:05

Shame the door can't be open mid air and such disruptive gobby passengers pushed out of it.

JorisBonson · 29/03/2022 15:10

Slightly off the point, but I've seen that a lot of Turkish dentists actually give you crowns - so your natural teeth are filed down and weakened. I believe crowns only last a certain amount of time?

But yeah, she's a twat.

livinthedream1995 · 29/03/2022 15:13

Honestly there are so many times when this needs to happen and just doesn’t and the entire plane of passengers and crew are expected to put up with this behaviour. people seem to forget that flying comes with risks and behaviour like this is dangerous onboard a metal tube with no immediate escape available if she escalated and started becoming violent or tampering with equipment. She got what she deserved.

I wish I had a man's ears - many of them seem to be able to ignore a screaming baby until mum sorts it out 😄

irishfarmer · 29/03/2022 15:40

She will be embarrassed today, and so she should be!! I don't for one second believe it is a MH issue as I've seen others saying is a possibility, it's a she was drunk/ high and being a plank issue.

H1978 · 29/03/2022 15:49

We had a guy on the same journey a few years ago. He was drunk too before he got on the plane and started an argument with his wife. His poor kids looked terrified. The air hostess made him sit on a spare seat towards the front where we were sat. He started playing up again when she refused him anymore alcohol. It was only after the pilot threatened to land the plane at the nearest airport did he listen. We had to wait after the landing as police came and escorted his family from the plane and him from the other door. It was really upsetting and quite scary. He was banned too I think.
