Where’s your best hiding place?

I need to hide something from DC and DH for about a week. Inside our house. It’s about the size of 2 fists together. It’s for a game. All usual places will be found immediately!

Have you got a really good hiding place in your house? Our old house had an actual loose floorboard which I thought was so cool.

In a saucepan at the back of the saucepan cupboard?

DoucheCanoe · 28/03/2022 10:51

In the slow cooker on the kitchen shelf or in my knicker drawer.

LaraDeSalle · 28/03/2022 10:52

Empty out a large box of sanitary towels and store inside?

CatRatSplat · 28/03/2022 10:52

Wrapped in an old towel under sink? Would I fit in a dressing gown pocket?

LaraDeSalle · 28/03/2022 10:52

Inside tall boots or wellies?

Rewritethestars1 · 28/03/2022 10:53

In my knicker drawer or in the sleeve of a jacket hung in my wardrobe

DustyMaiden · 28/03/2022 10:53

We built one in when we renovated the house. Can’t say where.

WhiteXmas21 · 28/03/2022 10:54

Similar to Blueflavour- a large casserole dish?
The ironing basket? The drawer with the baking tins is a favourite.
in our house anywhere in the kitchen , DP does nothing on the kitchen🙄

I've hidden stuff like chocolate in an old tampax box in my underwear draw. No one has ever found my stash!!

WelcomeMarch · 28/03/2022 10:56

Freezer
Packet of really worthy cereal
Inside a packet of spare loo rolls
In the middle of the floor for them to walk round
On the stairs with a label saying 'Please put this away'

Clymene · 28/03/2022 10:57

Landry basket

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 28/03/2022 10:57

My ds has impulse tenancies.... We hide cakes and biscuits in pans. In T bag boxes.
And in a huge casserole pot.....
Dd's hide Ben & Jerry's in an empty veg bag in the freezer!
*ds does get treats just not a week's worth at once!

TheCanyon · 28/03/2022 11:00

My favourite hiding places for Christmas presents are in the suitcases and under the (modular) sofa.

For my stash of chocolate it's the top shelf in my wardrobe, I can barely reach it myself Grin

eandz13 · 28/03/2022 11:01

Sellotape/duct tape it to the underside of something - eg. Under the coffee table, under a shelf on bookshelf, under the counter inside the cupboard etc!
If I was to hide something I'd probably tape it to the top of the drum in the dryer as we don't use it during warm weather... and DP and DC never use it at all! Grin

BoodleBug51 · 28/03/2022 11:02

Behind the kickboards in the kitchen is another good one.

JayeAshe · 28/03/2022 11:10

I M E Nobody will look inside a brown paper bag in the salad/veg drawer of the fridge .... Grin

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 28/03/2022 11:15

Are they physically looking for it or just somewhere they won't come across?

On top of a kitchen cupboard
In the Christmas decoration box

LBOCS2 · 28/03/2022 11:31

@BoodleBug51

Behind the kickboards in the kitchen is another good one.

That's my go-to secure place. Ditto behind the bath panel in the bathroom. Or in a pillowcase/towel in the airing cupboard.

LaurieFairyCake · 28/03/2022 13:24

I hid chocolate in the car

Or tampon box

Justanotherobserver · 28/03/2022 13:58

Pull the books forward on one shelf and tuck it behind them.

BrokenRecords · 28/03/2022 14:02

The neighbours house

Alwayspaintyournails · 28/03/2022 14:02

Empty handbag in my wardrobe
Rolled in a hoodie - gym drawers

Ohmych · 28/03/2022 14:03

My adult DD has a tendency to drink all my alcohol when she visits. I've taken to hiding my gin in the cleaning cupboard under the sink. She hasn't found it yet.

HirplesWithHaggis · 28/03/2022 14:03

Wherever it was I put some small Christmas stocking fillers about two and a half years ago...

HeyMicky · 28/03/2022 14:13

Behind my cookbooks
In the sewing basket
Under the spare sheets and pillowcases in the spare room
In a handbag at the back of my wardrobe, top shelf
