@Juniper68 I believe she was mega rich and at one time she and I would swap notes on nanny salaries and contracts ... aaaah those were the days. I can barely scrape together the pennies for my much depleted staff ...

Davros · 01/04/2022 11:32

JanelsInsane I'm so pleased to read that we were helpful to you. Looking back, I fear I was sometimes a bit too flippant and jaded by SN!

Yes but no more shitty ex. You're your own person.

BelladiMamma · 01/04/2022 12:23

@Juniper68 so true. If only I'd realised that the constant need for childcare was because I was effectively solo parenting ... oh well. C'est la vie. I'm not the first and won't be the last.

Juniper68 · 01/04/2022 12:28

BelladiMamma same with me. I get on with exdh but he wasn't always available. But I didn't work when mine were young.

I guess the only benefit of me working was that I got a reasonable ie not laughable settlement as there was never any question that I hadn't majorly contributed to ex's fancy car and our jointly held fancy houses

sigh<

I really don't miss that phase of my life although I loved my babies dearly

I'm very pleased you get on with the ex. I hoped that divorce might salvage our friendship but it wasn't to be
BelladiMamma · 01/04/2022 12:32

Anyway sorry @iCod this is your parade so I suggest you keep twirling and kick us off Grin

iCod · 01/04/2022 17:33

Aretina · 01/04/2022 20:32

MmeLindor was great. I think she was behind Jump Mag. My daughter used to read it.

iCod · 01/04/2022 20:49

Yeah she’s around on Twitter I think.

Geamhradh · 01/04/2022 21:22

I have MmeLindor on my FB though haven't "spoken" to her for years. She's a copywriter.

MalagaNights · 02/04/2022 09:35

Anyfulekno I was on your acne thread and it changed my life!
My sons are now using what I learned on there!

So sad to hear about BOF.
I was reading her threads about wanting some trips away when she was ill but then had a Mumsnet break and couldn't find any threads with her on or about her.
She was a very positive, optimistic, funny talented women.

SausagePourHomme · 02/04/2022 10:09

MalagaNights: i can't tell you how happy i an to hear that it helped! I had awful acne until i was 28 and needed to sort it because i hated the idea of going down the aisle with a face full of plooks. I have since taught my daughter the ways and she had the nice clear skin i wish i'd had Blush

SausagePourHomme · 02/04/2022 10:12

Sad to hear about BOF, she was a big presence, very frank and charming. It's unthinkable that she just isn't here anymore.

MedusasBadHairDay · 02/04/2022 10:27

I'd forgotten the username MmeLindor despite chatting to her fairly regularly on Twitter and FB. She's a wonderful woman.

I miss Riven. I used to follow her on Twitter but seem to have lost touch over the years.

MmeLindor · 02/04/2022 16:00

Ooh. This is lovely. So many happy memories. And a few sad ones.

Was just thinking of you the other day, Cod when I bought foot cream. That was always the first sign of summer.

I’ve kept up with a few MNetters on FB and Twitter but always forget who they are (or were) on here. I’m terrible at remembering names.

ssd · 02/04/2022 20:53

Just seen my post was deleted above, but no idea why?

ssd · 02/04/2022 20:59

Wracking my brains on what i said but i think i might have mentioned a name of another poster, didnt realise this was wrong, so if that poster seen it and reported it then apologies to you.

iCod · 02/04/2022 23:09

I think the thing that some people on Mumsnet can’t get, when they come on here to slag off me and others, is the longevity of relationships we have on here. And the kind of coming and going and acceptance of each other’s quirks, a bit like, without wanting to sound cheesy, a family

You been at the sherry @iCod?
