Mothers Day disappointment - just need to write it down!

Feeling a bit miffed today.
My daughter is 1 so it very much falls on her dad to get anything sorted.
I thought I might get a cuppa and maybe a scribbly picture he had done with her. Maybe even some lunch.

I got a card that he wrote and got her to scribble on with biro whilst I was there.

Just feeling a bit sorry for myself, and that the standard has been set for Fathers Day now - although I loathe it being turned into some sort of shit competition 😂

I’m aware that it could be much worse, just need my moment to wallow in it. And…back to the Sunday cleaning 😅

Why are you cleaning?

With my eldest now being 15 and two other DD’s after I’d say DH’s do get better at stepping up...

I think like with a lot of things men just need a bit more direction with how we’d like days to go especially those 1st couple of years when it’s all quite new.

Hugs though and Happy Mother’s Day, you’re doing a great job! Flowers

At least Father’s Day will be a piece of piss!
