Has anyone bought bedding plants online?

I normally pick up bedding plants at supermarkets or local garden centres. But I was wondering about ordering them online this year, partly so I can pick out what I want more easily, but I also thought it might be cheaper. Has anyone had any success with this? I guess they might get damaged in transit.

Loads of people do, of course they have success with it. It wouldn't be a sustainable business model otherwise.

I get plug plants delivered online. You have to plant them up now and keep them inside until May. I got 40 tiny begonias this week from You Garden. They are usually packed quite well, so there isn’t a lot of damage, but buying so small is always a risk, but so much cheaper. You can order garden ready plants now for delivery end of April early May. I usually get a mixture of supermarket plants and online ones.

Any recommendations? When I googled it came up with the big names like Suttons and B&Q, but I suspect there might be better/cheaper options.

I've ordered some vegetable seedlings from Marshalls in the past and they arrived intact, really cleverly packaged, and grew well (better than some of the plants I had grown from seed...) Obviously, you should unpack and water/plant them as soon as they arrive.

J Parker I would recommend. I'm waiting on an order from Farmer Graceys at the moment so can't comment on them yet!

J Parker were awful last year, their Trustpilot reviews speak volumes.
