URGENT left something at Marble Arch bus stop

Can someone help me this morning?
I have left a cardboard tube with some important posters at the bus stop in Marble Arch just now.

My friend was taken to hospital urgently last night & I am sleep deprived & left it there when I got on the bus about 40 minutes ago.

The posters are for my friend who is ill with cancer. It was my job to get them for him.

Could someone help me if they are passing now, please?

I am happy to pay a reward.

Really hope you get them back OP.

Tombero · 27/03/2022 09:35

@LaraDeSalle

Hope you get back and they are still there.

My dad left a bag of books on a wall that he was going to drop off at a charity shop but he sat down on the wall as he his back had a twinge. He went on his way leaving the books behind but when he realised after spending some time in the library what he had done, he went back to see tape across the street and the police asking people to move away as the bag had been reported as being suspicious!

This was during a time of bombs going off.

Did he admit they were his or stroll off nonchalantly?

Bump.

I can’t imagine them doing a controlled explosion on a poster tube.🤞🏻

It's Sunday not open yet Grin I imagine it's pretty quiet round there at this time eso with clocks changing etc. Fingers crossed op.

Disappointing the Oxford Tube driver couldn’t try to help

Not really, sounds very sensible. No one in their right mind would go and pick up a random parcel in London then take it on public transport, think about it! OP think you'll have to go back or write it off.

It's Sunday not open yet grin

Oh yes Blush

I’m not in church so why am I even up? Grin

Fantastic!

My dad did tell a policeman they were his books and after a few minutes and radio calls he was accompanied by an officer and allowed to retrieve them.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 27/03/2022 09:51

Oh wow!!!! I was expecting you to arrive back to the scene of a controlled explosion!!

cadentiasidera · 27/03/2022 09:53

Ahhh brilliant, just found your thread and was really hoping they would be there. Could just imagine that horrible sinking feeling when you realised. I may have just cried a teeny bit myself, wish I could give you a hug!

Annette32123 · 27/03/2022 09:53

Really pleased you have retrieved them!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/03/2022 09:54

MrsMooMooooo · 27/03/2022 10:04

Phew, you were lucky, really pleased for you

WeaverofWords · 27/03/2022 10:04

Thank you so much! I still don’t believe it!

The Oxford Tube driver (2nd bus) said as I got off that she did call through after I told her but that she was told there was nothing there - they must have looked in wrong place.

Also they drivers were standing here looking over & we all had a laugh together over it.

I think I need a lie down. Exhausted!
Thanks again Flowers

So glad you’ve got them back.

Squeezita · 27/03/2022 10:10

Glad you got them, OP.

Reminds me of when I was a poor 16 yo, got my first wage from my part time job and I went shopping for new clothes.

I left them on the bus and I waited for hours checking each bus that came back to see if they were still there. Never got them back. I still remember what I bought!

sashagabadon · 27/03/2022 10:10

There’s a pret near there. Call them and ask if someone will pop out and get it and keep it for you. If you offer a financial reward they’ll be keen!

sashagabadon · 27/03/2022 10:11

Sorry just read latest message. Smile

RonSwansonsChair · 27/03/2022 10:17

Delighted you got them OP.
