I've been charged twice (small amount)

When buying a ticket for an event today I took my card out thinking it was fine, and then was told it was invalid. The staff member suggested I'd taken it out too fast, although I must have had reason to think it has gone through. I then did it again, and it went through.

As I suspected, I've been charged twice. The snag is that the extra money will be going to two or more sports clubs, and possibly some other organisations. Is it worth contacting my bank and/or the venue club? I don't fancy my chances given my bank's below par customer service.

I had this before with a store. I contacted them directly and had proof that I only bought one item (yay receipt) and they refunded the second transaction. I'd contact the company you paid via direct

I'd like to think so, but in a way it makes it more annoying.

Contact the place that has charged u twice if that doesn't work go to your bank.

This happened to me at local chippy. I noticed about 5 days later it had actually gone through and I went bk in they seemed to know about it and gave me the money bk right away. Was only about a tenner but a very expensive chippy if I hadn't gone bk in.
