I wish I could record the way my ds greets the dogs

It never fails to make me smile :)

One of my dc is 24. He’s big and burly and, tbh, I think he could look quite intimidating.

He absolutely is not though, the opposite in fact. We have 2 sausage dogs who he completely adores, and it’s mutual. They go bananas when he comes in, and I just love hearing the way he greets them! It’s all high pitched daft sausage dog terms of endearment and it makes me happy!

This is such a sweet thread. Can i cheer your ds and your dogs please op. :) i absolutely adore sausage dogs. I am a shall we say differently abled individual and i am a rather odd and acquired taste so to speak but i love love love sausages and i love love lobe people interacting with them. There is two littlesausages that live near me their owners puts coats on them one is a girl and one a boy. When you see them in the park they are always looking after each other and they run side by side. They love to run towards bins , stop, look at the bin, look at each other then run off. Hehehhe its so cute.

My DH puts the heated seat on in the car for the dog and lifts him up to look out of the window. Small dog!

DH hand fed porridge to our now departed dear cat. He also Puts the heated seat on for our dogs and always buys them a sausage each from the sandwich shop when at work in a particular place.

Ds gives his cuddly toy to one of our dogs on his way to school and kisses them at drop off, I barely get a goodbye
Dd cuddles up with them every day, with the other writing them a story before reading it to them at bedtime. I love my dogs more than I can describe and my kids seem to share this. I love reading about others relationships with their dogs, cats and other pets it cheers me up,

My little girl is 5 but adores our dog & cat - she won’t play a board game unless there’s a place set for the cat & dog & when it’s their turn, she rolls the dice for them & let’s them know if they’re winning or not🤣 whenever she gets a swimming certificate or star of the week etc, she shows the dog & cat first❤️ It’s going to be a v sad day when they’re no longer here☹️

My son is built like a brick shite house but when he’s with us and his dog it’s so sweet
Listening to him chatting away to a bulky staffie while he’s fixing breakfast or tucking him into bed is just so sweet
If he nips out to the shop,leaving the dog with us-the reunion is amazing to watch
They have an such a sweet relationship-I’m so grateful they found each other

My 17 year old DS is the same with our sausage!

I love the voice DS (10) uses to talk to the cat. I realised he copies the silly, soppy high pitched voice that I use to talk to her! I've taught him well.

I once caught dh trying to persuade our rather daft ridgeback that she could be a member of the paw patrol. He was singing the theme tune to her and everything. It was so sweet. He was mortified 🤣
