Help me find NON SLIP ankle socks!

Help! It's that time of the year now when I can get out of boots and woolly socks and back to trainers and ankle socks. But I CANNOT bear the way they slip down my ankle and under some of foot when im walking around. I want ones the go up above my ankle but no further because if I get the no show ones they just end up slipping right down and bunched up under my foot.

Any suggestions please for brands? I usually go to tk max or m & s for my socks but not finding anything that works there. In tk max they're all either the no show ones (the slip) or they go to high up the shin and aren't ankle socks.

I’m a size 5 but found that buying men’s ones 6-9 solved the problem.

emmathedilemma · 26/03/2022 09:36

They're more expensive but look at the running brands. I have some low cut ones from Decathlon that don't slide down. Sometimes i think it's the fault of your shoes rather than the socks.

TokyoSushi · 26/03/2022 09:37

If you go to Primark and get their no show sport style socks they definitely don't slip down, they're like a strange, almost tights like material, but really soft and come right up the back of your heel. They're £3 for a pack of 5 and the absolute best I've found. I completely understand your problem, these are the solution!

These from M&S are trainer liners but they are amazing, never slip. The shape is really good. I wear them all the time. www.marksandspencer.com/5-pair-pack-ultimate-comfort-no-show-trainer-liner-socks/p/clp60086961?color=BLACK

I often buy Primark Men's socks. Their 6-8 size is far better for a size 7 foot than the women's 4-8. Their trainer socks are really good too (men's or women's actually)

fairylightsandwaxmelts · 26/03/2022 10:03

These are what you want:

www.rohan.co.uk/womens-travel-and-outdoor-accessories-pathway-socks?ocode=05717B94&cr=womenssocks&p=fp

I wear them for work (dog walker) all day in summer and they are so so comfortable. Quick drying, never slip down, breathable.

They're not cheap but they last forever. I've had my current lot a few years and they still look brand new.

Funny I wouldn't have considered primark at all but will check them out

They sound really good. I don't mind paying a wee bit more if they last for years

They are expensive but they have lasted me three years and counting so far!

Rohan often have sales and offers so if you're not desperate wait for the mid-season sale next month (I used to work for them so know all the timings Grin)

Normally you'll get 20-30% off socks.
